Hey Seattle… Give yourself a pat on the back!

January 9th, 2009

Did you notice the January issue of GQ?  If you passed a magazine rack you probably noticed Jennifer Aniston, wearing a red, white, and blue tie… that’s it.

Assuming that you actually opened the cover, you probably stumbled on to page 75, this issue’s food section, where Seattle was proclaimed “Food City of the Year.”

Seattle’s grassroots food culture was compared to the Obama campaign, and the article honorably mentioned Corson Building, Spinasse, One Pot, Lark, and Via Tribunali.

Now GQ may have a few more readers than www.seattlefoodster.com, but if you asked me, I knew that you were the food city of the year since the day I started this site.

Thank you to all the wonderful Seattle restaurants and thank you to all those who visit these restaurants and make them so popular.

Happy Eating,

An apology from seattle foodster

January 9th, 2009

Well, well, well… where has seattle foodster been, you might ask.  In my last article I mentioned that going to Union was special because it was celebrating my entry into graduate school.  Well, graduate school keeps a person busy.  Unfortunately, I barely had time to eat out, let alone post quality articles to the site.  So, www.seattlefoodster.com was dormant for awhile.

But don’t fear.  I renewed the domain registration (just in time), and you will have access to www.seattlefoodster.com for another year (and more to come).  I’m going to make it a goal to post more often and to think of new creative posts for this new year.  Perhaps chef interviews?  Recipes?

Thank you for being a loyal reader of seattle foodster.

Happy Eating,
